Rich performs in English (since he's only been in the country for 9 years) but don't let that scare you; he always speaks very slowly just in case there are Irish people in the audience so it usually works out well for everyone. Born and raised in New York, Rich Lyons is Finland's premier English speaking stand up comic. Married to a Finn, his comedy centers on the cultural differences between Finland and the U.S. with subjects running the gamut of food, television, Tarja Halonen, George Bush, politics, religion, airplanes, cab drivers, computers, unemployment, Finnish drinking, karaoke, sauna, childbirth, Steven Spielberg, Robert DeNiro, Michael Jackson and much, much more.

In his six years in Finland he's written for television including the ten episode sit-com "Tulta Päin" and he's been featured on such programs as "45Minuuttia" and "Ihana Aamu". His other talents include music; apart from being a solo keyboard player & vocalist he is the front man for his own Rock & Roll/Rhythm & Blues Band, Live Bait. Note: He loves Finland but his next wife is definitely going to be from Tahiti.
